The British Deer Society have launched a series of webinars where representatives from the industry come together to help solve the issue of the UK’s falling venison prices

The British Deer Society (BDS) is hosting a series of webinars addressing the issues facing the UK venison market.

The closure of many pubs and restaurants due to Covid-19 combined with rising deer numbers has caused the price of venison to plummet in the UK, causing serious problems for deer managers; in some areas the price has dropped below £1 per kilo.

The British Deer Society’s webinar series is free, and allows representatives from the industry to come together to discuss the problem of falling venison prices and work out a way to move forwards.

The first webinar in the series will live stream on the British Deer Society’s YouTube channel, on Wednesday 19 August from 7.30pm-8.45pm.
