Do I need snow camouflage for winter foxing?
Q: Do I need snow camouflage for winter foxing like Ulf Lindroth often uses?
ANDY CROW replies: For the very few days of snow I have gone foxing in, I don’t think it is worthwhile. We rarely get a total covering and much of my foxing is done with a lamp after dark.
Ulf is not allowed to use a lamp in Scandinavia and is often sitting out in the open, calling foxes to him. If you are keen on daylight calling and are sitting in the open then by all means use it – anything that reduces the chance of a fox seeing you is a good thing in that scenario.
