Skyline Summit gore-tex waterproof boot

I’ve mentioned this before, but occasionally a high-shaft, heavy-duty hunting boot can be a bit much. Fine on a high hill or on a mountain hunt, but for the odd bit of walked-up there’s a degree of overkill. Admittedly that’s not really an issue if hunting is the only application for your footwear, but if you’d like to pull double-duty and add some walking or hiking into the mix, or even for casual day-to-day applications, a more mainstream boot might well appeal.

The Skyline Summit boots fit perfectly into this category. They’re stylish and come from a respected brand, but perhaps most important of all they’re as tough as… I’ll let you fill in the rest.

I’ve hammered these boots over the past six months, from the foreshore to the high hill, and they’ve been particularly invaluable on foreign trips as they can be worn on the flight or stuffed into a case quite easily. And apart from the odd scape while negotiating some really tough terrain, they’re still in perfect working order.
