The British Deer Society (BDS) has struck two major partnerships with equipment distributors to support its training programmes and field operations.
Under an agreement with Thomas Jacks, candidates on BDS DMQ Night Shooting Certificate courses will use Pulsar thermal imaging equipment, including the Thermion 2 LRF XP60 riflescope. Thomas Jacks is the exclusive UK and Republic of Ireland distributor for Pulsar optics and Spypoint wireless trail cameras.
.
A separate partnership with GMK Ltd will see BDS instructors field-testing rifles, moderators and stalking kit from brands including Tikka, Beretta and Sako. The society’s head of training, Nick Rout, said: “I’m thrilled because it represents perfectly why having top-notch equipment is one of the key elements for ensuring best practice standards in deer management”.
