Professional deer manager Chris Rogers takes us on a roe doe hunt around the estate in this video from his monthly series on Shooting & Country TV.
Chris needs to get on top of his cull target during the UK roe doe season, which runs from November 1st to March 31st. First though, it’s time to switch barrels on the Blaser R8 from the mighty 30-06 to the more roe-appropriate .243.
As ever, the deer stalking takes time, skill and fieldcraft in order to find a suitable animal, ensure there is a safe backstop, and wait until there are no other animals in the line of fire, all while avoiding detection!
