Thursday October 5 2017 was a milestone for the British Shooting Show and its staff, when they attended their first site visit at the NEC Birmingham, and the size of the halls really struck home. What a way to celebrate the show’s tenth anniversary! The sheer excitement of seeing the British Shooting Show’s new venue was evident in all the staff and I knew the show had found its rightful home.
New dymanic
Over the past four years, the BSS has brought a whole new dynamic to the shooting industry with a true trade and retail British Shooting Show. Here, manufacturers and distributors get the opportunity to pass on the knowledge relating to each and every product, whilst receiving priceless feedback from the most important people in our business – the customers.
There is no substitution for face-to-face discussion and being able to study all the product ranges on offer over the full three days of the British Shooting Show, with over 600 exhibitors and 150-plus trade-only accounts in attendance. Never before has the shooting sports had such an amazing platform to showcase their product ranges directly to those who buy, use and rely on them.
Perfect venue
The NEC will see our shooting industry taken to a level never achieved before in the UK. All the main players from the world of airguns will be there, including BSA, Daystate, Brocock, AirArms, FX, Crosman, Gamo, Weihrauch, Webley, Hatsan, Tesro, and Umarex, fully supported by Airgun World and Air Gunner, plus all the optics and night vision manufacturers, and we have more airgun-related retailers and specialist suppliers signing up as the opening day approaches. Now add hundreds more companies from the wide world of shooting, fieldsports and everything else our glorious pastime is about, and at last we have a true reflection of our passion for what we do.
All under one roof
The NEC offers such wonderful scope. All exhibitors are in one gigantic exhibition space, which enables the ‘have a go’ areas to flourish with even more indoor ranges than ever. Tactical ranges are a new addition, and there’s a massive indoor demonstration arena where the finest professionals the industry has to offer will be entertaining the crowds throughout the day, and this year, we are even able to offer an amazing 4 x 4 off-road demonstration course!
Please join us, and many thousands of your fellow airgun and shooting enthusiasts, at the NEC in Birmingham on the 16th, 17th and 18th of February, 2018 – and welcome to the best British Shooting Show there has ever been!
